How ESMM CONTROL Works: A Scenario-Based Walkthrough

Typical Environment:

  • 1-3 servers (Windows or VMware)
  • 1 x Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS) with Network Management Card (NMC)

ESMM CONTROL Stack:

  • Local Network Shutdown (LNS) installed on all servers
  • Cloud Gateway deployed on a local VM or small appliance
  • Cloud Based Software provides cloud-based visibility and alerts

  1. Power outage occurs; UPS detects event.
  2. NMC triggers LNS to gracefully shut down servers based on runtime thresholds.
