Comtec Power rolls out the red carpet at the DCS Awards 2017

Tonight, Comtec Power will take a break from receiving industry awards and instead concentrate on handing them out – hooking up with DCS Europe to applaud the year’s latest breakthroughs in energy efficient datacentre projects at an exclusive ceremony for the DCS Awards 2017.

The Comtec Power team will be well represented, hosting key customers and partners including our friends at Schneider Electric, and networking with the leading lights of the industry.

Comtec Power’s Nick Claxson will be presenting one of the top awards of the night, the Datacentre Energy Efficient Project of the Year: “Energy efficiency is one of the top issues in datacentre design and build, and a rich seam of technological innovation and evolving best practice.  This year’s standard of entries has been very high and it should be a great night for all our guests and everyone involved in this important annual event.”

Comtec Power’s participation in the DCS Awards 2017 comes hot on the heels of its latest accolade, scooping the Datacentre Solution of the Year prize at last month’s IT Europa European IT & Software Excellence Awards.  This celebrated the achievements of its innovative datacentre upgrade project with Cardiff University.

This project:

• Reduced electricity costs by £125,000 a year
• Increased energy efficiency, lowering the PUE score to just 1.2
• Achieved ROI faster than anticipated

Other Comtec Power projects have been recognised by the likes of CNET, Computer Weekly and the British Computing Society.
