Comtec Power leads the way with DCS Awards 2017

Comtec Power has partnered with one of Europe’s leading datacentre awards bodies to celebrate the latest achievements in energy efficient projects.

The DCS Awards 2017  regularly attract the best examples of datacentre best practice across the entire industry ecosystem, from product designers and consultants to suppliers and manufacturers.  This year Comtec Power will be lending its considerable expertise as official sponsor of the ‘Datacentre Energy Efficient Project of the Year’ category.

Award-winning track record with major DC projects

Comtec Power is no stranger to glittering awards evenings, with a host of projects being recognised by the likes of CNET, Computer Weekly and the British Computing Society.  Among the latest to demonstrate energy efficiency benefits is Comtec Power’s latest datacentre upgrade project with Cardiff University.  This project:

  • Saved around £125,000 a year in electricity costs alone
  • Increased energy efficiency and lowered the PUE level from 1.8 to 1.2
  • Met and proved the ROI target of less than five years set by university stakeholders
